"They have not been able to RuneScape gold accept the offer," 117 said. "I am beyond sad and disappointed with Jagex and am extremely disappointed I am so disappointed that, following this long journey, I'm not able to share this project with you. The mod of 117 doesn't seem to be in line with Jagex's guidelines for third-party clients, however the Runescape developer says that it's reviewing the guidelines next week, to include references to projects that alter the appearance to the player.
Original Runelite developer Adam1210 offered his views on Reddit, saying that the ability to allow Runelite HD to continue would be a huge benefit to the future updates that are made by Jagex.
"I also disagree strongly with adding it to the "third parties' guidelines," Adam1210 said. "Most of them are trying to define where the line between [quality living] and playing the game lies - and I think most players agree that the current guidelines represent a fair representation of that. Additionally, it can help keep the game's honesty.
However there is no disadvantage in any way for better graphics and the effect is only felt when you turn it on. So - this is really simply a misapplication of buy 2007 runescape gold guidelines. In the end, it's an issue for all involved and I'd like to see Jagex would reconsider."
